A Message

Since it inception in 1972, PT YKK Zipper Indonesia has grown into YKK Fastening Indonesia Group (FIG), and concentrated in providing various benefits for Indonesia's trade and industry, as well as for the nation and it's community. Time flew, the company had surpassed the age 30.

Our products have been useful to support domestic textiles industries, yet they are also export commodities in their own rights. Almost 80% of the products we are manufacture are being exported to various places throughout the world. If one would measure the length of all zipper produced in a year, he would certainly have to go around the world 10 times or travel a distance of 380.000 km.

As one of YKK Corporation's production center, YKK FIG is expected to follow closely the global industrial and trade developments, especially those happening in Asia .

The world is changing fast and moves toward unison. One development the request special attention is the fading of national borders; another is abolishment of quota in several countries that are export destinations.

Being the best is certainly a good strategy to anticipate the phenomena. The awards we have received are an international appreciation of our achievements; they also add value to the company. Nevertheless, customer satisfaction is our main concern. Therefore, we are striving for swift and accurate product delivery to our customers combined with quality improvement and competitive pricing.

By recalling these trends and events, we prepare t borderless world society and ever-increasing competition. It is already the commitment of YKK FIG, however, to constantly come up with innovations that push the company and society further towards prosperity.

PROFILE

P T YKK Zipper Indonesia was established on 23 May 1972 as a zipper-manufacturing joint venture between YKK Holding Asia and PT Andityawarman. Today PT YKK Zipper Indonesia operates successfully with 1.478 employees and the support of 2 factories, one in Cimanggis, Bogor and the other in Cibitung, Bekasi.

Company Activities

PT YKK Zipper Indonesia focuses 25% of its production for direct export within the YKK Group, 55% for indirect export and 20% for the domestic market.

Its main products are zippers and their components, quicklon (hook & loop fastener), elastic tape, gross grain tape, plastic cord stopper, metal notions, yarn and die set.

PT YKK Zipco Indonesia

A fter 17 years of successful endeavor in Indonesia , on 23 October 1989 YKK establish PT YKK Zipco Indonesia , a joint venture between YKK Holding Asia and YKK Corporation that manufactures zippers. This new corporation reached success rapidly and now has 3 factories in Cibitungl, Bekasi, with 652 employees.

Company Activity

PT YKK Zipco Indonesia concentrates its production for direct exports. All of its production is distributed to almost all YKK Corporations throughout the world. Its main products are zippers (polyester) and their components (tape, chain, slider).

PT YKK Fasco Indonesia

P T YKK Fasco Indonesia was established on 27 January 1995 as a (Quicklon) Hook and Loop Fastener manufacturer. It is a joint venture between YKK Holding Asia and YKK Corporation. Now the company employs 94 professionals that are positioned to produce high quality products.

Company Activity

With Look and Hoop Fasteners as main products, PT YKK Fasco Indonesia owns a factory in Cibitung, Bekasi. Its product are distributed solely in direct export markets.

Machinery Division

Commencing Production in October 1992, this division manufactures spare parts of production machinery and also designs special pullers. With technological advancement, the Machinery Division does not only serve the interest of YKK Japan, but also fulfills the needs of YKK Indonesia Group. Additionally, this division also manufactures export-ready production machinery, including high-tech machines such as sophisticated Vacuum Furnace for Heat Treatment Systems.

Division Activity

The commitment to increase the skills of employees has been implemented since the beginning of this division. Within an ongoing program, already 58 employees received the opportunity to join 3-to-12 months training in Japan . To maintain high standards of quality, all of our products are subject to rigid quality test. Moreover, activities of the P2K3 (Directive Committee on Health and Safety) reflect the company's concern about the health and safety of its employees. In fact, a harmonious company-employee relationship is fostered all times.

YHA R&D Center

Always striving to innovate and maintain its product's quality, YKK Fastening Indonesia Group has establish separate division that comprises the Research & Development (R&D) and the Quality Control Center (Q&C) sub-divisions. Each is directed to pursue excellence in their fields of responsibilities. The YHA R&D Center is also a research & development center that design new and more innovative machines. Nevertheless, The YHA QC Center is a center for a quality inspection and a center for analyzing new FIG products.

Division Activity

Today, YHA R&D concentrates on the development of new machines and supporting machinery for the existing machines. This includes the development of various new sliders types, which are more innovative and able to answer the ever-increasing market demands. With these types, we defend the leading position of YKK products within the range of world-class products.

YHA also implements a quality Patrol program throughout all FIG factories. This quality patrol encompasses all factors of quality (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Environment + 5R: Ringkas, Rapih, Resik, Rawat, Rajin or Compact, Tidy, Clean, Maintain, Eager)

Today, it is even more important to protect and preserve the environment then before, because the idea of providing the next generation with a heritage of clean and healthy world is already spread around the globe.

Proactively, the YKK Corporation has established the YKK Group Environmental Charter. The principle of the Environmental Charter is to promote a harmonious co-existence with our environmental and to preserve and improve the environment.

YKK seeks to develop an environmentally correct management system. For starters, principles of environmental awareness, from design to production, to disposal, storage and recycling are being implemented. Others, more advance measures will follow to ensure we bring the best benefits not only to current but also to future generations.
