Concept

We are sharing our communication slogan Not an image, a message." in ASIA (ASEAN, South Asia, and Oceania) region for YKK brand activity. As one of our core activity, on November, 22nd 2006 we officially opened the first Fastening Experience at Cimanggis factory. We would like to utilize this place as "a place to convey YKK Brand and to produce future YKK fans". We are positioning this Fastening Experience as an important place of communication among our end users, local people, and us.


In Fastening Experience, we'd like you to feel YKK brand value, the feelings of reliability and safety, with experience the sensory characteristics of major product, such as zipper, snap & button, and textile & plastic. The segment of basic elements of Fastening Experience is "YKK products are used in the world not only for general usage for garment or baggage, but also unusual usage from universe to under ground and bottom of ocean." This idea includes environmental activities.


Design & Function

With our great collaboration with Nomura Kougei, Fastening Experience has 5 categories with beautifully and uniquely designed. It makes all attendance feel magically amazing. Such a first sensational experience of Fastening Experience reinforces the reliability and confidence to YKK brand.


Welcome Zone : Visitors will get special first impression, because we use “Excella” the best product of YKK as wall decoration.

Multifunction Hall : We prepare 2 kinds of video programmes. The one is explanation of YKK overall production system. The other one explains YKK environmental activities conducted in each area and based on the company spirit, "localism".

Business Meeting Room : Where 50 of products sample are displayed enable us to prepare flexibly, according to customer type, target and segment to support the business meeting.

Experience Zone - Usual Usage : The first area is showing our various fastening products in familiar usage such as zipper, quicklon, and snap & button.

Experience Zone - unusual usage : Second one explains some unusual usage of YKK fastening technology at surprising situation other than garment field with showing samples. For instance, we have oil fence, soft tank, space suit, and emergency unit. This section aims to offer better understanding of products function and characteristic, by showing hands on displays and try physically such as "Zipper Strength Experience" and "Quicklon Attack".

Fastening Experience™

Touch And Feel - Program & Activities

We are planning on inviting local children to Fastening Experience by accepting 2 classes daily in 3 working days. The program for children is conducted with 3 different activities:


- hands on experience zone

- factory tour

- workshop circle


Three activities are mutually linked and conveying the wonderfulness of the power of design and manufacturing.

Workshop program is quite unique and characteristic activity in Fastening Experience. Using fastening product, we will present workshop of design and creativity that only YKK can present. We have 2 kinds of workshop menus now:

「for B to B」 as Fastening Experience This section not only offers supports of business discussion at product presentation room, but devices to indicate product strength& visual contents that show YKK overall production system based on R&D which makes YKK’s highest quality . In addition, by presenting some cases of YKK fastening products technology that is used for unusual usages around the world, The messages of “YKK is Global.”, “YKK is trustworthy brand.” are conveyed strongly.


50 of product sample board is able to prepare along with customer type/taste, target and segment to support the business meetings. 42 inch LCD monitor enable us to make presentations using visual contents.
